Aster Gardens Newsletter August 2022

Posted on August 4th, 2022

Aster Gardens is coming alive with new and engaging events and guests! We have started to safely welcome family and friends in for brunches, our Canada Day pancake breakfast and especially our Grand Opening. This is what community living at Aster Gardens is all about: an active, social, engaging community with an abundance of choice.

There are still some great suites available! Call or come in to view, or join us for a staycation! Let us welcome you home.

City Councillors Tour

We had the privilege of hosting County Councillors at Aster Gardens. We gave them a tour of the building and our beautiful putting green.

Grand Opening

The Aster Gardens Grand Opening Celebration was a huge success! Dahlia and the Villains played live music, followed by speeches from MLA Nate Glubish, MLA Jordan Walker, Mayor Rod Frank, and Aster Gardens General Manager Karen Fitzgerald. Food trucks, great company, and beautiful weather were also highlights of the event. Thank you for celebrating with us.

Active Living

With residents eagerly putting away when the weather is good, our rooftop putting green has never been busier.

Residents have been rallying around the Ping Pong table! Not only is it a fun activity for our residents to enjoy, but Ping Pong also helps increase alertness, stimulates brain function, and provides aerobic exercise.

National Mojito Day

It was National Mojito Day on July 11. The Mojito is a Cuban drink of rum, ice, lines, mint, simple syrup, and a splash of sparkling water. We used fresh mint from our rooftops gardens. The drinks were delicious, the weather was great, and the company was delightful.

Farmers' Market

On June 15th, July 13th and 27th we attended the Emerald Hills Farmers' Market in Sherwood Park. We love getting to meet the community!
