Aster Gardens Newsletter July 2020

Posted on July 8th, 2020

Hi there,

I hope you've had a great week!

We've been busy here at Aster Gardens. Construction is going well and we've got more great events lined up for you to take part in.

I’d like to personally invite you to the events we are hosting in the coming weeks.

The first, “Living With Dementia,” features Dr. Adrian Wagg, the Head of the Department of Ageing in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Alberta (U of A). As a followup, we’ll be hosting a Q&A with Yvette Elmquist—the Director of Care of Optima Living’s Century Park residence—about Memory Care and how Aster Gardens can support you and your loved ones.

This is a vital topic, particularly because Aster Gardens will feature 24 Memory Care suites. This program is built upon 13 years of Optima Living’s history of delivering essential memory care and brain health services across its portfolio.

In addition, we have partnered with the U of A and the University of Manitoba (U of M) to deliver a best-in-class offering.

The Memory Care program has been carefully reviewed by leading researchers at the U of A and in collaboration with the U of M, Optima Living will be offering a state-of-the-art, recently-released app called [name] which will support residents to offset the impact of memory ageing in their lives. This is an exciting opportunity for residents at Aster Gardens to take advantage of the latest research in memory care. As with everything, the choice is theirs. Stay tuned for more details.

As always, we're here to support you in every way we can.

Have a lovely weekend,

Construction is progressing well. Cupboards, doors, and windows are being installed in every suite, as well as the safety apparatuses like smoke alarms. With most of the drywall now hung, the interior is really taking shape! Keep your eyes on our Facebook and Instagram for more construction photos!
